Battlefords woman offering reward for puppy’s safe return
Two weeks after bringing a new puppy home and now more than 24 hours since he went missing, a Battlefords woman is hoping for her pet’s safe return.
“Buddy’s really friendly and he loves children. When we got him we fell in love with him,” Charlotte McCallum said. “He gets along really good with our dogs, I have a Chihuahua puppy and they cuddled every night.”
She said her seven-month-old German Shepherd Buddy was stolen from her yard early Sunday morning, Oct. 16.
McCallum said between 2 to 2:30 a.m. Sunday while she was out, her boyfriend woke up to noises outside and saw four or five people in the backyard, some trying to get in through her side door. While he went to see what was going on at the side door, someone got Buddy out of the back door through a doggy door and took him. McCallum said her boyfriend saw the people take Buddy over the fence before jumping out of the yard to run away.
