Advance polls for N.B. election begin this week

The upcoming North Battleford municipal election is on Wednesday, Oct. 26 but voters looking to cast their ballots early can do so at the advance polls.

Advance polls for the public are at city hall on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 22 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The public can also vote at Valley View Towers on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There are also five advance polls for residents and patients only voting. Residents of River Heights Lodge can vote on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Harwood Manor voters can cast advance ballots on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday, Oct. 21 Villa Pascal residents can vote from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Caleb Village residents can vote from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Patients at Battlefords Union Hospital can vote on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Mail-in ballot applications will be accepted during regular business hours until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Those wishing to do mail-in ballots must apply in person at the returning office in city hall.
