Bull elk left to waste near Atton Lake after head, legs taken

Conservation officers are asking for the public’s help after a bull elk was shot, partly taken and left to waste on private farmland near Atton Lake, a recreation site about 40 kilometres northwest of North Battleford.
SaskTip said North Battleford conservation officers received a report on Sept. 17 about the incident.
Officers attended the scene, collected evidence and determined the animal had been field dressed before being dragged by vehicle to the edge of a field.
