Parade brings Battleford community together for celebration

Battleford’s streets came alive Friday evening as a colourful parade rolled through town, drawing crowds to the sidewalks for an evening of celebration.

Floats and decorated vehicles made their way along the route, with community groups, local businesses and sports teams waving to spectators as they passed.

The parade followed a day of family-friendly activities at the Fred Light Museum as part of the town’s annual celebration. This year’s festivities marked 150 years since the signing of Treaty 6.

As the sun went down, the celebration moved from the streets to the sky, with a fireworks display bringing the day’s festivities to a colourful close.
