North Battleford bull rider surges to sixth nationally, eyes hometown win at annual PBR Classic
Wyatt Fennig is coming home at the right time.
After a shaky start to the season, the 24-year-old North Battleford bull rider has surged to sixth in the Bull Riders Canada standings, propelled by a run of strong finishes and a mental shift that has him riding with renewed confidence.
Now, with the McDonald’s Colby Cave Memorial PBR Classic approaching on July 23, Fennig has his sights on the one victory he said would mean more than any other.
“As long as I ride like I have been riding, I think there’s a very good chance that I could potentially win North Battleford,” he said. “And that’s been the goal. That’s the one that I’ve been wanting to win for a long time.”
