North Stars’ Serpa commits to Plymouth State University for 2026-27 season
Of the five Battlefords North Stars graduates from last season, four have now committed to continuing their hockey careers at the post-secondary level.
Most recently, former North Stars goaltender Kaeden Serpa committed to Plymouth State University (NCAA Division III) in Plymouth, N.H., to play with the Panthers. The hockey program is part of the Little East Conference (LEC).
Last season, Serpa had a 22-9-4 record in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) regular season with a .917 save percentage and 3.11 goals-against average.
Previously, he spent time in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) and Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL), which are both a tier below the SJHL, so it was important for Serpa to get a year under his belt in the SJHL to move on to the level he wanted.
