Battlefords MS Walk

The MS Canada’s Battlefords MS Walk fundraising event is taking place on June 7, 2026.

On the day, members of the local community will come together to connect with one another and raise funds to better the quality of life for Canadians living with MS (multiple sclerosis).

Since its inception 35 years ago, MS Walk has grown into a national event and annual highlight for everyone who’s involved. This year’s fundraising goal is $4.4 million, which will go toward critical support for Canadians living with the condition as well as advocacy work and research.

Zooming out: Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world; it’s known as Canada’s disease. MS is a complex and episodic neurological condition that disproportionately affects young people and women. Women are three times more likely to be diagnosed than men, and around 60% of new diagnoses are given to people between the ages of 20 and 49.

Why this matters: MS impacts all Canadians, not just the people who live with it. For the over 90,000 Canadians who already live with the disease, and the 12 who receive new diagnoses each day, the ripple effect of MS impacts their family members, friends, and communities. The MS Walk is an easy way to show up, connect with others and support the MS community.
