AFC Toronto, Halifax Tides battle to 0-0 draw in NSL action at BMO Field
TORONTO — The Halifax Tides remained in second place through the first two weeks of the Northern Super League season after battling AFC Toronto to a 0-0 draw Sunday at BMO Field.
The Tides and Toronto both have four points (1-0-1) with a win and a draw, but the Tides have a plus-2 goal differential, one better than Toronto.
The Montreal Roses lead the table with six points (2-0-0).
Both goaltenders were relatively busy. Toronto’s Sierra Cota-Yarde faced 12 shots, including six on target, while Halifax ‘keeper Rylee Foster faced 13 shots with five on target.
