Man charged after RCMP locate 140K illegal cigarettes

A man has been charged after RCMP seized approximately 140,000 illegal cigarettes.
On April 19, around 1 a.m., Cut Knife RCMP conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation on Highway #40 in the RM of Manitou.
After further investigation, officers located and seized approximately140,000 illegal cigarettes in the SUV.
Osama Mousa, 46, from Edmonton Alta. has now been charged with unlawfully possessing tobacco for sale, possession of unstamped tobacco – excise act, and possession of unmarked tobacco – tobacco tax act.
