North Stars host Broncos for night one of rivalry weekend
The Battlefords North Stars return to home ice Friday night at the Access Communications Centre for night one of the team’s weekend home-and-home series with the division rival Humboldt Broncos.
The North Stars (5-5-0) enter play second in the Nutrien Division and seventh overall in the league standings, having won two of their last three games, though looking to bounce back from a tough 4-1 loss at the hands of the Melfort Mustangs, Wednesday.
The Broncos (7-0-1) enter play among the hottest teams in the province, sitting atop the division and third in the league standings overall, as one of just two teams this season still without a regulation loss on their record (along with 9-0-1 Flin Flon).
