Debbie Chaboyer said all she wants is justice for her son.

The comment from the grieving mother comes following news of a third arrest in the case of the death of Tristan Chaboyer.

Allan James Genereaux, who was arrested Thursday in Moose Jaw, appeared by phone when the matter was discussed Friday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

In connection to the death of Chaboyer, the 32-year-old is accused of accessory after the fact and indignity to human remains.

In September of 2020, Chaboyer was reported missing to police. The disappearance was eventually deemed a homicide. At the time, Chaboyer was living in Prince Albert and worked at Star House Restaurant.

In August of 2021, police confirmed that human remains found in a wooded area northeast of the city were those of Chaboyer.

Kyles Charles and Harley Bear were arrested last month and have also been charged with accessory after the fact.

Debbie Chaboyer drove up from Saskatoon to sit in court with two other family members and afterwards told paNOW she was happy to hear of the arrests.

“I find some relief but at the same time it’s hard to go through this,” she confided. “All I want is justice for my son.”

All three accused remain in custody and their matters have been adjourned to Sept. 13.

Stating she did not recognize any of the names, Debbie acknowledged the person who committed the crime may still be on the run.

“My son, I’m gonna fight for his justice and justice will be served. Maybe not today, maybe not next week, but it will be served,” she said.
