RCMP charge man for allegedly shooting at North Battleford residence

RCMP are charging a 30-year-old man after a home in North Battleford was shot at.

On May 18th, police were called to an area around 107th and 108th Streets after getting a report of a firearm being discharged.

Through its investigation, the RCMP found out a vehicle approached the property and shot at the building before fleeing. The residence was hit by a bullet, but no one was injured.

Around two hours later, police found the vehicle and later the driver with a handgun in his possession outside a home in Cando.

Jessie Moosomin has since been charged with discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a firearm knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a restricted firearm without license/registration, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was scheduled to make his first court appearance in North Battleford on May 23rd.
