Break-in at Cenovus Energy site to cost over $100,000, says RCMP

Cut Knife RCMP are seeking the person or persons responsible for a break-in at the Cenovus Energy site in the Rural Municipality of Manitou Lake.

The incident happened between the hours of 6 p.m. on Dec. 14, and 8 a.m. on Dec. 15.

A quantity of thicker cable was targeted and police indicated the cost to replace it and repair the damage incurred would be over $100,000.

This site was targeted previously in November and about $10,000‐$12,000 damage was done.
