Access Communications Centre closing for repairs
CORRECTION: The story has been changed to clarify the repair is being made to the condenser.
The Access Communications Centre (ACC) is closing for one week starting Wednesday. City officials say they’re closing the facility so they can safely repair the condenser.
The Battleford North Stars were scheduled to play two games this weekend against the Flin Flon Bombers at the ACC. The city is in the process of contacting all users of the facility to tell them about the closure.
The small ammonia leak was discovered when staff were investigating the malfunctioning of the condenser. The plan is to close the facility and make a temporary repair. To do so safely, the city says it is best to close the facility. A more permanent solution will be carried out in the future.
