Battlefords RCMP searching for multiple armed suspects

Oct 24, 2022 | 8:48 AM

RCMP are looking for multiple armed suspects after several incidents over the last few days.

Just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 21, Battlefords RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Mosquito First Nation. A man carrying a bag and firearm got out of the vehicle and walked away heading west. Police searched the area but could not find him.

RCMP believe the crashed vehicle was involved in a report of armed individuals in a truck in Maidstone and a flight from police in the Lloydminster area earlier that day.

Around 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 23, RCMP received a report that the man from the crashed vehicle and six to eight other people were at a gas station on Mosquito First Nation. Police immediately responded but are still trying to locate the suspects.

The suspects are believed to be driving a newer model white Dodge Ram four door pick-up, and a black Jeep Cherokee. Police say the individuals were wearing white masks, possibly Halloween masks.

RCMP emphasize the suspects are likely armed and should not be approached. Anybody with information is asked to contact the police at (306) 446-1720 or 911. Tips can be left anonymously through Saskatchewan Crimestoppers.
