RCMP Report Pt. 3: Items stolen, arrests made from break-ins
Break and enter calls picked up in the Battlefords again last week.
Of the 13 investigations undertaken by the Battlefords RCMP, two resulted in arrests on April 28. Around 9:30 p.m. that evening, police found a 32-year-old male inside a business on the 1600 block of 103rd Street. The man was found hiding in a dark room, wearing a mask and, when confronted, claimed he was supposed to be there when he was not.
Officers arrested the accused and charged him with breaking and entering, but have released him from custody. His first court appearance is later this spring.
Around a half hour later, the detachment had a report of a break and enter to a garage on the 900 block of 106th Street. Members located a 34-year-old man, who fled from police on foot but was apprehended a short time later.
