RCMP Report: Assault, break-in arrests
Battlefords RCMP arrested a 33-year-old male for assault following an altercation at a North Battleford business last week.
Members responded to a 911 call on the Highway 16 Bypass shortly after 5:00 p.m. on April 21. A 34-year-old male employee was found suffering from a bleeding nose. Sgt. Neil Tremblay told battlefordsNOW that a reported disagreement between him and the accused turned into an altercation, where the employee tried to distance himself but was hit in the head and face.
“Fortunately, we were able to find him near the scene quickly, then arrest him without incident and process him,” Tremblay said.
The accused has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 6, while the victim did not require medical care.
