A 24-year-old Tisdale man is facing charges after taking to the field at a Saskatchewan Roughrider game.

Cole Martin Chowen ran from the south end zone to the north end zone and up the steps to the concourse before being arrested during the Nov. 13 game at Mosaic stadium against the Edmonton Elks.

In a release, Regina Police said the man was charged with mischief which is defined in the Criminal Code as anyone who willfully, “obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.”

Chowen was also released on an undertaking with conditions not to attend Mosaic Stadium. He will make his first court appearance on the charge in provincial court on Dec. 29.
