North Battleford Agencies joins Westland Insurance

Apr 30, 2021 | 5:00 PM

If you’ve driven past the corner of 100th St. and 19th Ave. recently, you may have noticed some new signs up on the North Battleford Agencies’ building. One of North Battleford’s trusted insurance brokerages has joined the Westland Insurance family, and now have new signs to show off.

While the local insurance office may have a new name and a new look, the important aspects that North Battleford residents have found comfort and security in are here to stay. With more options to offer clients, the brokerage formerly known as North Battleford Agencies will now operate as Westland Insurance.

Locations in Meadow Lake, Meota, Battleford and Swift Current are undergoing the same updates to their offices. The newest branch of this family tree extends all the way from its roots entrenched in Surrey, British Columbia. Having recently gone national, this community-focused and family-owned brokerage now offers a wide variety of insurance services to the local clientele including motor licence issuing, home, auto, business and travel lines.

Beige Osland with Westland Insurance explained while the community brokerage is now a part of a national brokerage group, the trusted team members and community focus will remain intact.

Residents can find security in the fact that Westland’s expert advisors are the same familiar faces they’ve come to know in the former Innovation offices, and will continue to deliver top-quality service. She added keeping that community presence intact is important as Westland respects these values as a family business.

“The biggest thing is having trust in our expert advisors in our offices. All of the insurance advisors at our offices are experienced, many of them with years, if not decades of experience, and have the resources to be able to find the right insurance solution and provide the right advice for clients’ insurance needs.”

“Being family-owned and operated gives us a different perspective,” Osland said. “We are coast-to-coast now, but we are still owned and operated by the children of the original owner. It comes back to family values, making sure we take care of both our team members and the communities we’re in. Our local advisors live and work here and are passionate about giving back to the community by being a resource for expert insurance advice and participating in community initiatives. That matters to us.”

“Westland is a very community driven organization. We’re always looking for ways we can give back to the communities where our clients and employees live because we started with one branch in one community. We’re always looking to be involved because we know the impact it has,” Osland said.

In the spirit of giving back to the community and to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Westland Insurance is currently running their “40 Weeks of Giving” campaign that rewards and highlights important local organizations rooted in communities they serve. Over the course of 40 weeks, Westland will continue to showcase these services while making contributions.

Osland explained the decision to stretch the campaign out over 40 weeks provides Westland with the opportunity to really highlight the organization being donated to.

“We want to have the opportunity to feature the organization. We’re sharing information about each organization on social media, as well as promoting it on our website. It’s a pretty long campaign, but we’ve got some exciting donations that we’ve already done, and have some amazing ones coming up as well that help keep our communities vibrant.”

Osland shared, “We were proud to have our North Battleford branch support the BGC Battlefords as part of this initiative. In addition, to participating in the annual Lake Drop through our Meota location.”
