Wade Frenchman, charged with three murders, waiting for psych assessment

A Moosomin First Nation man charged with three murders is currently waiting to have a psychiatric assessment.

Wade Frenchman, 31, was not present when his case was discussed on Tuesday at North Battleford Provincial Court.

He is charged with first degree murder in the deaths of Alyssa LeCaine and Daphne Bear from Dec. 24, 2021, and Tyler Mooswa from June 4, 2023.

The case will return to court on May 21, 2024 at 11 a.m.

According to the RCMP, the remains of LeCaine and Bear, were found after a residential fire in the 1000 block of 108 Street in North Battleford in Dec. 24, 2021.

In a separate matter, following a tip, RCMP located the body of 35-year-old Tyler Mooswa in an outdoor area on Moosomin First Nation June 4, 2023. His death was deemed suspicious.
