21-year-old woman dies following weekend collision north of Cochin

A 21-year-old woman has died from her injuries, following the serious vehicle collision on Highway 4 north of Cochin Saturday.

According to RCMP, the passenger was transported to hospital in the Battlefords following the collision.

As reported previously, on August 29, North Battleford RCMP received a call regarding a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 4 north of Cochin. A Saskatchewan RCMP reconstructionist as well as WPD ambulance from North Battleford attended the scene.

Upon arrival, officers determined the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene wearing a red T-shirt, black pants and red shoes.

It remains unknown where the driver is at this time and efforts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful so far, police say.

North Battleford RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the driver. Those with any knowledge of the driver’s whereabouts, or who are able to provide any additional information of this incident, are asked to contact the RCMP.
