Thanks for Farming Tour

Jul 7, 2020 | 12:03 PM

With the cancellation of trade shows for the next several months, Thunderstruck Ag Equipment is proud to introduce the first ever THANKS FOR FARMING TOUR, a tour created to show the farmers of the prairies how much they are appreciated.

Location: North Battleford

Venue: Battleford Agricultural Society

Exhibition Park – Junction of Highway 16 and 40

Times: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Speaker: Lesley Kelly – Do More Ag and High Heels and Canola Fields

Ian Epp – Canola Council of Canada

Right now, health and safety is on all of our minds, so Thunderstruck has included a safety advisor on the tour planning team to ensure that these events are COVID-19 protocol compliant in every way possible as the team heads from Manitoba through to Alberta.

Limiting the number of people at each event, regularly scheduled times for cleaning and sanitizing, proper handling and storage protocols, physical distancing, and contact tracing are all included in the tour plan, making sure that these events are safe for everyone to attend.

This tour will take the Thunderstruck Ag Sales team, along with several Ag industry exhibitors, across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, stopping in 9 different communities to host 18 events to say thank you to the hard working prairie farmers with food, drink, and a celebration just for them.

Thunderstruck has also partnered with local restaurants and suppliers of the communities the tour will be held in to help build community and to support the local towns of the farmers.

Plus, Thunderstruck will also be making financial donations to the local 4H chapters in each community to continue to show their appreciation for the Ag industry and everyone involved in it.

When Thunderstruck was brainstorming how tradeshows would look this year, connection with farmers was the biggest thing that the team was missing and also heard from farmers that they were missing this fellowship as well.

This tour offers farmers a chance to get the the farmer out of the shop for a few hours and into community with people who understand them and understand the challenges that they face.

Plus, two presenters will be talking with the farmers about ag topics specific to their communities and mental health.

This will create opportunities for farmers to talk about their struggles with other farmers who can relate and provide a support system for them.

Thunderstruck Ag Equipment is excited to bring the THANKS FOR FARMING TOUR to the prairies and is looking forward to this becoming an annual event that gets bigger and better with every year!
