The case involving a Cochin-area man facing a second-degree murder charge is now scheduled for trial this December.

Joshua Roy Tucker, 29, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 59-year-old Gordon Tucker, his father, two years ago.

The accused is to stand trial from December 14 to 18, 2020 at Queen’s Bench Court in Battleford.

The trial was previously scheduled for May but was adjourned.

A preliminary hearing in the case held in January 2019 in North Battleford Provincial Court determined there was sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial.

The RCMP previously reported they found Gordon Tucker deceased on May 31, 2018, on a rural property southeast of Cochin.

The allegations against the accused have not been proven in court.
