Charges laid following collision outside Biggar Sask.

RCMP have charged a man for multiple offences committed during motor vehicle collision close to Biggar, Sask.

Law enforcement responded to the incident on the evening of April 21, which occurred approximately six kilometres east of town. Reportedly, a truck travelling north collided with a parked car. Following the accident, the driver of the truck drove into a field, exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The female driver of the car reportedly sustained minor injuries.

29-year-old Steven Watson from Biggar, Sask., has received multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop after an accident and failure to comply with release order conditions. He’s scheduled to make his first appearance in Biggar Provincial Court on August 5.
