Fate of the playoffs
SJHL coaches and governors to meet to discuss future of season Friday morning
Mar 13, 2020 | 10:43 AM
Following last night’s announcement that the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) would be postponing their playoffs “until further notice,” league coaches and governors are set to meet late Friday morning to discuss the future of the 2019-20 postseason.
The coaches and governors will discuss if a three-week waiting period is possible; if can teams afford it, and if rinks keep their ice in without hockey.
The North Stars’ organization said they are hoping to know more following the meeting, if the season could possibly continue in three weeks or if it will be canceled altogether.
