Warrants for arrest following armed robbery in N.B.

Two males have been charged and are wanted following a robbery in North Battleford on Saturday.

According to a media release from Battlefords RCMP, at 9:30 a.m. police responded to the 900 block of 110th Street after multiple 911 calls of a female screaming in the middle of the street.

Upon arrival the woman told police two males, 24-year-old Skylar Pooyak, and a 17-year-old who cant be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, entered her residence. One was carrying a firearm and ordered her to give them money. They also fired gunshots in the residence, but no one was hurt.

The two males left before the RCMP arrived. Pooyak has been charged with multiple offences including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawfully being in a dwelling house, and failing to comply with his court order.
