Household Hazardous Waste Day set for May 11

Apr 25, 2019 | 10:18 AM

Get out your aerosols, poisons and solvents as Household Hazardous Waste Day in on the horizon.

On May 11, North Battleford residents will be able to drop off their household hazardous waste at the Public Works Shop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program is only open to city residents and no commercial loads are accepted.

Most adhesives, aerosols, automotive products, cleaners, fuels, Mercury, oxidizers, poisons and solvents will be accepted. A full list is available on the city’s website.

People are asked to bring the materials in the original containers with labels intact and should not mix products.

If you do not have the original container, the material must be labelled. If you do not know what exactly the product is, choosing one of the above categories will suffice.
