Cannabis outlet to give update at Chamber On Tap

Feb 6, 2019 | 4:50 PM

It should be an engaging evening for business people attending the next Battlefords Chamber of Commerce networking event called Chamber On Tap – new business Fire and Flower Cannabis Co. is set to give an update.

The local Chamber’s Chief Operating Officer Linda Machniak said the event is open to all chamber members. Tickets are available at the Chamber office for any business people interested in attending.

Deborah Lindquist, general manager of Fire and Flower Cannabis in North Battleford, will give a presentation on the topic: “Social responsibility, community engagement and education for consumers and staff.”

Machniak said she wanted to reach out to the company to get a briefing on “what’s happening in the industry, (and) how things are going” now that the business has been open here for several months.

Machniak said, similar to any retailers, staff at cannabis outlets need to make sure they are knowledgeable about all the products they sell.

“I certainly think it will be an interesting discussion,” Machniak added.

The Chamber On Tap event will take place Thursday starting at 5 p.m. at Porta Bella Restaurant in North Battleford, at the north side of the restaurant.
