RCMP execute high-risk arrest in Riverview

Battlefords RCMP assisted in the arrest of a high-risk violent offender in the city Saturday, following an investigation involving the Battlefords Municipal GIS Unit and Provincial Crime Reduction Team.

Police said for the past number of weeks, they were engaged in locating an offender who was wanted on a Canada wide warrant for parole violation and was believed to be living in the Battlefords. 

The offender was located and the RCMP Emergency Response Team was called in to assist in executing the arrest.

The offender and three other adult males were arrested at a home on the 500 block of 103rd St. in North Battleford without incident, according to police.
