Wuitchik team wins 95th Twin Rivers men’s open bonspiel

The foursome of Lloyd Fell, Brad Wuitchik, Todd Miller, and Bryan Miller won the ‘A’ event at the 95th annual men’s open Twin Rivers bonspiel this past weekend, where 88 curlers from across the province competed in the four-tier event.

The Wuitchik team defeated the Hritzuik team, comprised of Skip Eugene Hritzuik, Third Colin Coben, Second Gary Maze, and Lead Daryl Eddingfield. Team Hritzuik, from the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, will represent Saskatchewan at the 2018 Canadian Master’s Men’s Championship in White Rock, B.C. April 1-8, after they won the provincial master’s at the beginning of March.

In the ‘B’ event, team Naismith came out on top, comprised of Skip Cole Tenetuik, Third Ian Naismith, Second Jac Reid, and Lead Angus Reid. They defeated team Scott in the ‘B’ final.

Skip Wayne Pauls helped his team win the ‘C’ event, alongside Third Glen Caffet, Second James Caffet, and Lead Dennis Harasym, a foursome who took down Doug Flash, Dean Pylypow, Doug Puff, and Ed Iwanchuk.
