North Stars crack top-5 in CJHL top-20 once again
The Battlefords North Stars are once again a top-five team in the country according to the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League top-20 rankings, a spot they haven’t held since early November.
On Nov. 14 the North Stars fell from third to eighth in the rankings. They hadn’t been able to crack the top-five since, until Monday morning, when the first rankings of 2018 had them in fifth in Canada.
This is the thirteenth straight week the North Stars have been a top-10 team in the rankings.
This past week, Battlefords defeated Kindersley 4-2 and then blew away the Notre Dame Hounds 5-1. They are now 26-5-2 this season, which is just about as good as they were last year, when they had a 27-6 record through 33 games and then won the league championship.
