Kinsmen rodeo reins in strong numbers
The Kinsmen Indoor Rodeo had another successful year in North Battleford with strong attendance for show competitions on Friday night and Saturday night in particular, as well as more participants than last year in the show. The event wrapped up Sunday afternoon at the Civic Centre.
“Saturday night was close to a sell out. We had a lot of what’s called slack, which means we had a lot of participants after the main rodeo,” Heath Gabruch, Kinsmen rodeo committee chair, said. “And of course we had the bonus round [Sunday], which went very well.
“All weekend has been really good, so we’re very pleased with how everything has gone for the total attendance,” Gabruch said.
Attendance was 2,480 for Friday’s show, 2,200 for Saturday, and 1,200 for Sunday, for an overall total of 5,880.
