Two collisions within a five-hour span highlighted a very busy Thursday for Battlefords RCMP.

The first accident happened at 10 a.m. when two vehicles collided on the corner of 11 Ave. and 107 St. One driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was later charged with driving without a licence and driving without due care. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and had to be towed from the scene.

At 2:30 p.m. RCMP were at the scene of another two vehicle collision on 100th Street. Charges were laid against one driver for failing to yield to an oncoming vehicle when making a left turn.

Meanwhile, police were also called to a residence on the Moosomin First Nation where a group of young people gathered to party without the occupants consent. Three males and three females between the ages of 15 to 19 were arrested.
