Community members hope to knit 100 blankets before Christmas
A handful of women are using their love of knitting to help a local charity.
The group, which operates under no title or leadership, has pledged to make 100 blankets for the Battleford Early Childhood Intervention Program, all in time for Christmas.
BECIP is an organization that offers support for families with children who are developmentally delayed.
Vistara Sidebottom, one of the many knitters, assured that all are welcome to the knitting circle. She said that people have joined with no knitting experience, years of experience, and even those who don’t want to knit are welcome to join to just spend time out of the house.
