Travel not recommended for Highway 40

The recent snowfall may have brought its winter cheer, but with that came different road conditions.

Most highways surrounding the Battleford’s area are listed as having snowy conditions, according to the Highway Hotline. Conditions include being slushy and wet, both of which are subject to freezing.

Highway 40 to Wilbert, however, is not recommended for travel. The conditions are listed as slushy, with icy or slippery sections and packed snow.
