Night out for the family

City plans drive-in movie night with COVID-19 precautions

The City of North Battleford’s drive-in movie night is coming up soon.

The city will follow the province’s COVID-19 precautions, with cars parked two metres apart, for the September 11 showing of the film Abominable. The event is sponsored by Innovation Credit Union.

The show will start at 8 p.m. in the field adjacent to the CUplex.

“We’re grateful to be able to do this,” Mayor Ryan Bater said. “People can get out of the house and go and enjoy a movie in a safe way, and right here in our own city.

“Of course the drive-in movie has become an annual tradition within the city’s Leisure Services,” Bater said. “We’re glad to be able to continue it.”
