Maidstone Festival of Trees preparing for 11th year
A long-standing tradition in Maidstone is returning for its eleventh year.
The Maidstone Festival of Trees changed hands this year, moving from the Red Hatter’s to the Maidstone Community Health Committee. It will be held at the Maidstone Health Complex from Monday to Saturday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the one exception being Saturday, where it’s 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Matthew Greshner, President of Maidstone Community Health Committee said this is a major fundraiser for the hospital, where proceeds will go directly to the Health Complex to assist in purchasing medical equipment.
“People really enjoy the festival of trees,” he said. “It’s very Christmassy inside the atrium. It’s the first big event of winter, and people seem to enjoy that. People come out and are very generous and help us out.”
