TSN broadcaster Landsberg planning local mental health benefit concert
A popular TSN personality will visit North Battleford next week to talk about mental health during a special event at the Civic Centre.
Toronto-based broadcaster Michael Landsberg is planning to share his experience dealing with his personal mental health challenges at the show planned for Mental Health Awareness Day March 15. The free event also includes guest appearances by CFL all-star Weston Dressler, singer-songwriter Beverley Mahood, and Grey Cup champion Chris Getzlaf and Canadian Rock Band One Bad Son. Landsberg is also planning visits to the three local high schools.
Landsberg said he wants to encourage young people who may be struggling with mental health issues to speak up and get the help they need.
“If we can go into the community, make people feel a little bit of hope, a little bit less lonely, to communicate a little bit more, then we will have maybe made a small difference,” he said.
