Advance polls now open for Battlefords-Lloydminster byelection

Advance polls for the Battlefords-Lloydminster federal byelection are open today for locals to start casting votes from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1 to Monday, Dec. 4.  

For the local area, advance polls are available at Connaught Elementary School in North Battleford and at St. Vital School in the town of Battleford.

People can also vote by special ballot at the local Elections Canada Office at the Don Ross Centre in North Battleford until 6 p.m., Dec. 5. 

On election day, Dec. 11, voting polls are open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The candidates running in the byelection are Rosemarie Falk – Conservative, Matt Fedler – NDP, Ken Finlayson – Independent, Larry Ingram – Liberal, and Yvonne Potter-Pihach – Green Party. 

Shortly after polls close Elections Canada  will display preliminary election results on its website.

To find the location where they are assigned to vote for their district, constituents need to check their voter information card, or look online at elections.ca
