Fairview subdivision master plan presented
The city’s planning committee was presented with the Fairview subdivision master plan and though it looks exciting, don’t expect it to move in anytime soon.
At last night’s planning committee meeting North Battleford council was shown what the Fairview subdivision could look like in a few decades. Ryan King of AECOM had a PowerPoint presentation prepared with numerous slides showing what the various plots of land would be used for and provided an overall concept of what the subdivision would look like.
Though it was a great presentation and the plan looks attractive city manager Jim Puffalt said he doesn’t see a shovel hitting the ground until the Kildeer subdivision is close to sold out.
“The Kildeer subdivision is up this spring and we want to finish that off,” Puffalt said. “Depending on sales we’ll leapfrog over to Fairview. We will probably get started on the park sooner rather than later because we have some drainage issues to deal with.”
