Senior hockey weekend wrap
Both the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League (SPHL) and Sask West Hockey League (SWHL) had multiple teams in action over the weekend.
In its second weekend of regular season play, the SPHL saw both blowouts and one-goal affairs.
The Battleford Beaver Blues won on the road in Spiritwood, 7-2 against the Timberwolves, to improve to 2-0 this season.
Edam Three Stars also stayed perfect, after they blew out the Cut Knife Colts 13-3 on Friday. The Colts bounced back on Saturday to edge out the Radisson Wheatkings 6-5 and even their season record at 1-1.
