Western Canada Farm Progress Show wraps up

Jun 18, 2016 | 10:10 AM

The 39th annual Western Canada Farm Progress show has wrapped up.

This year was a big year for the show with 700 people from 52 different countries registered through the international business centre.

Ndoma Agbor the executive director of the centre for sustainable agricultural development in Nigeria,  was one of those visitors.  Agbor is the first Nigerian to visit the show in its history.

He said he was impressed with what he saw. “The technology I saw with Intragrain is so incredible.”

Agbor said that Intragrain technology is good for him because with it being so hot in Nigeria, having the ability to keep an eye on the temperature as well as moisture content of grain while it is in storage is important.

“(The Intragrain technology) means I can have the temperature and moisture content on my phone, anywhere in the world.”

This year’s show saw approximately 41,000 visitors come through the doors, with almost 700 exhibitors taking part.
