Sirens blared as ambulances, a fire truck and a police car raced into the Frontier Centre parking lot. Children watched as workers covered the deceased with sheets, arrested the drunk driver and removed an injured passenger, all while listening to an explanation of events.
EMS week kicked off on Sunday, May 22 and staff at the WPD branch of North Battleford believe the week is a perfect time to educate community residents on the proper procedures when it comes to dealing with safety standards, emergencies and accidents.
Members of the RCMP were recognizing for their work and for going above and beyond the call of duty at the RCMP Awards. Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Vaughn Schofield handed out the awards at Fort Battleford on Thursday, May 19.
