Passengers can bid on discount airline’s unsold seats

Travellers can now bid for a seat on Canada’s newest discount airline.

NewLeaf announced a partnership with Calgary-based company Jump On Flyaways Tuesday, which would see unsold seats filled by the highest bidder.

In a trade battle over beer, Saskatchewan companies such as Great Western Brewing could stand to lose a lot of business under Alberta's new tax regime.

Right now, smaller provincial breweries are classed as regional and pay a lower tax rate to export into Alberta.

Council reassures community Capitol Theatre was offered fair deal

The city is getting a new theatre, but the project’s announcement hasn’t entirely been welcomed around town.

North Battleford city council has received complaints claiming it’s driving Capitol Theatre out of town by signing a new agreement with Magic Lantern Theatres.

Battleford business owners concerned over private liquor vendor

The impending privatization of the liquor store in Battleford isn't sitting well with local business owners.

The public liquor store, located at 102 22nd St. in downtown Battleford, is one of 40 stores across the province in the process of going private.
