Battlefords author releases anthology of Canadian veterans

The author of a book immortalizing the Battlefords has released another about the true stories of Canadian families during the Second World War.

Daniel Beaulieu spent 10 years in Meadow Lake before attending the U of R and moving to Vancouver. He’s currently in a video competition which could award him $50,000 to produce an animated web series.

From Meadow Lake to Vancity, Daniel Beaulieu is using his skills as an animator to tell the stories of Northern Saskatchewan communities via web series.

Canadian Olympic athletes to wear earrings made by Regina-based company

Canadian athletes at the Rio Olympics will be sporting some very fashionable, patriotic jewelry made by a Regina-based company.

Jeweller Hillberg & Berk won a partnership agreement with the Canadian Olympic team and have created red sparkle ball earrings for the athletes to wear.
