North Stars hope for payoff in showdown with Millionaires

Less than 24 hours after defeating the Yorkton Terriers 5-2 in Yorkton, the Battlefords North Stars will continue the back-half of their weekend road trip. Awaiting the Stars is a hungry Melville Millionaires club at Horizon Credit Union Centre in Melville.  

Although Friday marked just the second matchup of the season-series between the North Stars and Terriers, the two sides wasted no time getting reacquainted, in a fast and physical matchup right from puck drop.

North Stars prove Terriers' bark worse than bite

The Battlefords North Stars defeated the Yorkton Terriers 5-2 Friday night at Farrell Agencies Arena to snap a three-game losing skid, and usher in their first win of 2019.

Casey Scheidegger’s rink has qualified for the quarterfinals at the 2019 Meridian Canadian Open after a 6-4 seven end win over Winnipeg’s Tracey Fleury.

Kleiter's run at Meridian Canadian Open ends with loss

There were three rinks eliminations this morning at the 2019 Meridian Canadian Open.

One of those was 20-year-old Rylan Kleiter from Saskatoon. The young curler had the crowd on his side throughout the tournament, but it wasn’t enough after a 5-2 defeat.
