William John Sanoy (Bill), age 82, passed on peacefully from Foothills Country Hospice south of Calgary on April 5th, 2026 – among the mountains and prairies he loved to take country drives through.
He had no pain and was of a solid mind and spirit, so he was able to love and be loved up to the end by his wife of 59 years, Norma Jean, their four sons: Darwin, Cory, Sean and Todd and his six grandchildren. We all miss him dearly.
Bill was born on a farm near Ibstone, SK in ‘43, he always retained a sense of the well-grounded pioneer who leads his family with hard work, integrity and loving-kindness.
Bill sensed and deeply embraced the presence of God in his life which eventually led him to a deep Christian faith . He believed in Christian Resurrection and during his final weeks would remind us “I’m Coming Back!”
We will celebrate his life well-lived, which has blessed us deeply, on June 20th and on the 21st he will be buried with his twin sister, Rosie, who passed away at birth. You are welcome to attend either of these:
