It is with heavy hearts the family of Terrance Lee Tootoosis, also known as “Chowie”, announce his sudden passing on Saturday, April 1st, 2017, three weeks shy of his 60th birthday.
Chowie’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family: children Tessa: Teige, Eliza and Logan; Torrie; Keli; and their mother Sandra; Melissa (Isaac); Crystal: Joshua, Nena, Amy, Page and Lily; Shinnez (Ted): Tevin, Mercedes, Haylee and Tianna; step-son Magnus: Layla, Ava and Brooklyn; sisters Doreen Rittinger, Karen (Raymond) Gardipy, Donna Mae Tootoosis and Wendy Tootoosis; the Badger, Semaganis and Tootoosis families; adopted family: special couple Ken and Therese Seesequasis; brothers and sisters Tom Seesequasis, Emelda Seesequasis, Shirley (Terry) Anderson, Lucille (Eric) Dorion, Cecile Seesequasis, Elmer (Daryl) Seesequasis, Brian (Hali) Seesequasis, Glen (Lila) Seesequasis, Brenda Seesequasis and Curtis Seesequasis; adopted brother David Orchard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He is predeceased by his mother Bella Tootoosis; grandchildren Joel B. Pahtayken and Adora Belle Wolfe; brothers Byron Thomas and Dennis Tootoosis; sister Barbara Lynn Tootoosis; uncles Steven Jacob, Richard Solomon Semaganis and Walter Tootoosis; aunts Bertha Rose Semaganis, Lena Victoria Tootoosis and Eva Collins.
Traditional wake was held Tuesday, April 4th to Thursday, April 6th, 2017, from the Veteran’s Hall in Poundmaker Cree Nation. Funeral Services followed on Thursday, at 10:00 am with interment at the Poundmaker Cemetery, Poundmaker Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. Feast will take place Thursday afternoon following interment.
