1940 – 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Raymond ‘Roger’ Bidyk at the Red Deer Hospice, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the age of 82 years. Roger grew up in the Paynton, Saskatchewan area, where he received his schooling, beginning in Arbor Hill School and then at the Paynton School. After retiring from a career with the Department of Highways, he enjoyed farming. Roger was so proud of his grandchildren; and he was always interested in their lives. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends. Roger battled valiantly with his heart problems, but it eventually overtook his health. Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-six years, Rosaline; his son, Darren (Cindy) and their children, Brooke, Brendan, Dylan, and Abby; his son, Gerry (Mandy) and their children, Hudson, Kamrie, and Keeli (Tyler); and his sister, Shirley Jeancart, as well as many cousins and friends. He left behind his little bud, Diesel. Roger was predeceased by his parents, Rose (nee Lesko) and Philip Bidyk; and his in laws, Kathleen and Jack Stogran. A Celebration of Life will be held in North Battleford, Saskatchewan at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Roger’s honor may be made directly to a Charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
