Job Summary:
Emergency Medical Technicians are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support ( BLS ) services to the sick and injured,
and for continuing to provide BLS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities or a Paramedic.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
CMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
Valid Class 4 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability and willingness to work within the Health Facility in assigned areas, helping with patient care and performing within the scope of practice
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced communication skills
Advanced interpersonal skills
Other Information
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

8 hour paid shift and 16 hours of standby assignment. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every
